Job Title: Resource Development Manager (the position is currently available) 

Employer: Energize-ECI Regional Planning District.   An Indiana and U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration designated multi-county planning and economic development agency securing grants for Blackford, Delaware, Grant and Jay counties in East Central Indiana.  The organization is headquartered in Muncie, IN and operates under the auspices of Energize-ECI, Inc., the regional economic development partnership globally marketing East Central Indiana.

Occupational Summary.  This position provides a range of grant research, writing, administration and collaboration for the priority needs as established by the participating counties.  The individual will meet and collaborate with county and community representatives and other related parties in the researching and development of proposals for grants, and the administration of project funds.  Individual will participate in continuing education and certification opportunities.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate the District’s involvement in projects and programs funded by external sources
• Research and understand various grant types, processes and procedures
• Work with local government officials to understand needs and priorities
• Respond to inquiries from government officials and grant providers
• Maintain a project calendar and adhere to all deadlines
• Provide communications and updates to government officials regarding projects and programs
• Works with individuals and groups and governmental entities to develop new proposals
• Assists with budget development and formatting of proposals to meet agency requirements and guidelines
• Provides administrative oversight and monitoring programs and grants for compliance
• Develops contacts with District governmental entities and state and federal funding sources
• Provides training and information to member entities regarding programs and grant activities
• Attend meetings, conferences, award ceremonies, educational sessions and workshops
• Ability to be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills, manage multiple projects and be able to travel as needed

Qualifications

• Knowledge of process of grant research, writing and management
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects
• Ability to set priorities and work comfortably in a fast-faced, deadline driven environment
• Transportation to travel to external meetings and activities

Education

• An associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or graduate degree will be an asset
